Official : Nigerian midfielder ends seven-year association with Tottenham Hotspur
Published: May 25, 2021Through a statement on their official website, Tottenham Hotspur have confirmed the departure of Nigerian midfielder Elisha Sulola following the conclusion of her contract.
The 19-year-old is one of the eleven players released by Spurs Women, the others being Rianna Dean, Alanna Kennedy, Gemma Davison, Anna Filbey, Hannah Godfrey, Lucia Leon, Aurora Mikalsen, Chloe Peplow, Lucy Quinn and Siri Worm.
She made her senior competitive debut in a 6-0 victory against Lewes in the FA Women's Continental League Cup in December, 2019 and departs the north London club after five senior appearances to her name.
Sulola joined Spurs at the age of twelve and signed her first professional contract in September 2020.
She spent a portion of this season on loan at Charlton Athletic, making 11 appearances in the FA Women's Championship and scoring once.
Sulola scored her first senior goal for Spurs in a 5-0 rout of Barnsley in the Women's FA Cup in January 2020.
