Published: May 25, 2021
Kelechi Iheanacho won Leicester City's Goal of the Season accolade for his stunning strike in the 2-1 win against Crystal Palace on April 26.
The Foxes secured the three points the hard way, with Iheanacho's stunner in the 80th minute proving to be the
winning goal.
His match-winning moment came when he took a touch in the area, swiveled inside, and smashed the ball into the roof of the net, with Jonny Evans providing the assist.
Iheanacho has credited the former Manchester United defender for his role in helping him win the Goal of the Season award, as voted for by the supporters of the club.
On winning the award, the Nigeria national teamer told LCFC TV : "It feels good! It was a great goal and a great ball from Jonny.
"That goal is really a great goal and I'm happy that the fans chose that as the best goal this season.
"I'm really, really happy. When the ball got played from Jonny, I got it down inside and took it back.

"The only thing on my mind was to shoot, and that's what I did. It went in the back of the net, so it was really a great pass from Jonny."
Iheanacho has international commitments with the Super Eagles early next month before heading off on a well-deserved vacation following an excellent season that saw him score nineteen goals in all competitions.
