Breaking : Babalola extends contract with Concord Rangers despite Wealdstone, Southend interest
Allnigeriasoccer.com can exclusively report that National League South outfit Concord Rangers are on the verge of announcing that Nigerian striker Temi Babalola has inked a new deal with the club.

The 20-year-old will remain at the Beach Boys until at least June 30, 2022 having put pen to paper on a one-year contract.

Some National League clubs wanted to take a look at him during pre-season but he opted to extend his stay at Concord Rangers.

Wealdstone, where Arsenal defender Joseph Olowu spent the second half of last season, as well as Southend United held preliminary talks with Babalola's camp over the possibility of the attacker training with the clubs.

Babalola harbours ambitions of playing in the Football League, so he's aware that he needs to score plenty goals next season to put himself in the shop window.

Last season, he trained with Luton Town youth team but nothing came out of it.

Babalola featured in the final of the 2020 FA Trophy final against Harrogate Town last month and started Concord Rangers' loss on penalties to Stevenage in the first round of the Emirates FA Cup.
