Inter Milan join Fiorentina, Brighton & Hove in race for Super Eagles striker
Published: June 22, 2021
Italian champions Inter Milan have reportedly added Simeon Tochukwu Nwankwo to their transfer wishlist this summer.
According to Serie B News, several top-flight clubs in Italy are targeting the Nigeria international to reinforce their attack and one of those clubs is Inter Milan.
The coronavirus pandemic has negatively impacted Inter Milan's finances and new manager Simone Inzaghi is concentrating his efforts on signing quality but cheap players.
It is claimed that Fiorentina and Genoa are currently in pole position for the signature of the lanky striker who has also been linked with Premier League club Brighton & Hove.
Simy took the Serie A by storm last season, scoring 20 goals and assisting three others in 38 matches for demoted Crotone.
It is believed that his preference is to play in the English Premier League next term and remaining in the Serie A is another good option.
The 29-year-old has one year left on his contract at Crotone and is available for a fee in the region of ten million euros.
