Done Deal : Former Chelsea and Arsenal center-back joins Championship club
Published: June 29, 2021
With a statement on their official website, Championship club Barnsley have announced the capture of promising center-back Jason Sraha.
Sraha was one of two players unveiled by Barnsley on Tuesday, along with 2000-born center-forward David Bremang.
Sraha has been offered a contract by The Reds following a successful trial at the end of last season and will initially represent Barnsley U23s in the Professional Development League.
Aged 18, the defender makes the move to Oakwell after spells with the youth teams of Chelsea and Arsenal.
"I’m delighted. It’s a great club and I’ve just enjoyed it since I’ve been here," Sraha said to Barnsley's official website.
"The lads welcomed me in and it was a great vibe when I walked through the door, a great bunch of lads and we bonded well and played well together."
Next season, Sraha will be teammates with Nigeria underage international Daniel Jinadu who has started pre-season training with his new employers.
