Confirmed : Lawal joins Glasgow Celtic B on three-year deal
Published: July 16, 2021Through their official website, Scottish Premiership giants Celtic have confirmed the capture of Irish-Nigerian youngster Bosun Lawal.
The Hoops have made it clear that Lawal has been signed on a three-year contract and will initially work with Tommy McIntyre's Celtic B side.
Lawal has joined the reserve team of Celtic from English Premier League new boys Watford.
The Golden Boys tabled a one-year deal for Lawal but the midfielder turned down the offer before he was lured to Paradise.
The 18-year-old scooped Watford's Academy Player of the Season for 2020-2021 and made his Republic of Ireland U21 debut in a friendly against Denmark on June 5, 2021.
It remains to be seen if Lawal will make his professional debut in Celtic B's Lowland League clash against Bonnyrigg Rose Athletic this Saturday, July 17.
He links up with former Nigeria U23 invitee Osaze Urhoghide, Jonathan Afolabi and Tobi Olouwayemi at Celtic.
