Everton, West Ham interested in Wolves' Anglo-American-Nigerian midfielder but face competition
Published: August 13, 2021
According to Belgian media voetbalkrant, two Premier League clubs in West Ham United and Everton are plotting a move for Wolverhampton Wanderers' Anglo-American-Nigerian midfielder Owen Otasowie but face competition from abroad.
It is also claimed that Ajax Amsterdam and Schalke 04 are also showing concrete interest in signing Otasowie.
He has rejected a new deal to stay at Wolverhampton Wanderers, with his contract running out at the end of the 2021-2022 season and the Molineux outfit risk losing him for nothing next summer if he is not sold by January.
Otasowie has played at the highest level of English football, making six appearances in the Premier League in 2020-2021 and his other appearance was against Besiktas in the Europa League.
He joined Wolverhampton Wanderers on scholarship terms from Mass Elite Academy in 2017.
Nuno EspĂrito Santo, who handed a professional debut to Otasowie, is now coaching Tottenham Hotspur.
