'I like to dribble with the ball' - Watford loanee Dele-Bashiru highlights key attributes
Published: August 16, 2021
Watford loanee Tom Dele-Bashiru has highlighted his key attributes ahead of a potential debut for Reading against Bristol City on Tuesday.
The Nigeria U23 international was a non-playing substitute as the Royals defeated Preston North End 2-1 in a Championship clash on Saturday, August 14, two days after completing his move from the Hornets.
Dele-Bashiru's season-long loan move to Reading makes sense as the central midfielder
would have struggled to break into Watford's starting lineup in the new
Premier League season after recovering from a long-term injury that
required surgery.
"I heard of the interest from Reading during the week, a few days before. Then the move happened really quickly," Dele-Bashiru told Reading's official website.
"There was interest, and I was excited to be able to come here and play ā because I know Reading play good football.
"The manager has spoken to me about the way he wants to play ā possession football and to enjoy the game.
"Iām an attacking midfielder ā I like to dribble with the ball, drive forward, create chances. And to chip in with a few goals as well!"

New Reading number 19, Dele-Bashiru will compete with Super Eagles hopeful Ovie Ejaria for a place in the starting lineup.
Ejaria has not been involved in Reading's last three matches due to a groin injury he suffered in pre-season and will be assessed before tomorrow's clash at the Select Car Leasing Stadium.
