Official : Nigeria-eligible player with most appearances in UEFA Youth League departs Spurs
Published: August 18, 2021
Nigeria-eligible defender Timothy Eyoma has ended his association with Tottenham Hotspur following his permanent transfer to EFL League One club Lincoln City.
The Imps confirmed the capture of Eyoma before the start of their home game against Bolton Wanderers on Tuesday.
The transfer was not completed in time for him to make his second debut for Lincoln City.
The 21-year-old spent the 2020-2021 campaign on loan at Lincoln City, making 53 appearances in all competitions, including 39 in League One.
Eyoma joined Tottenham Hotspur in 2015, rising through the academy ranks, before making his first team debut in an Emirates FA Cup clash against Tranmere Rovers in January 2019.
He is the Nigeria-eligible player with the most appearances in the UEFA Youth League, 25 in total, ahead of Chelsea academy product Ola Aina who played 20 matches in the competition.
An U17 World Cup winner with England in 2017, he has also represented the Young Lions at U16, U18 and U19 levels.
