Liverpool, Manchester United, Tottenham keeping tabs on Nigeria-eligible winger
Published: August 25, 2021Anglo-Nigerian teenage sensation Nonso Madueke is attracting huge interest from a plethora of Premier League and European clubs less than a week before the transfer window shuts in the major European League, which is not surprising given his performances for PSV Eindhoven in the new season.
The Daily Mail earlier reported that Manchester United, Tottenham and Leicester City ran the rule over the Super Eagles-eligible
winger during the UEFA Champions League play-off first leg meeting
between Benfica and PSV last week.
Now the British newspaper has added that several clubs, including Liverpool, sent their scouts to monitor Madueke at close quarters in Tuesday's return leg at Philips Stadion.
Wolverhampton Wanderers, Bayer Leverkusen and Borussia Dortmund are the other clubs keeping tabs on the exciting winger.
PSV do not want to sell the England U21 international this summer but may be forced to have a rethink if they receive a bid in the region of 40 million euros.
The Eredivisie giants could consider cashing in on their prized jewel following their failure to qualify for the Champions League group stage after their goalless draw with Benfica yesterday.
Since making his senior debut for PSV, Madueke who has three years to run on his contract, has scored 15 goals and provided nine assists in 45 games across all competitions.
