Liverpool, Man Utd, Spurs suffer blow as transfer target Madueke signs new PSV deal

Nonso Madueke appears to have ended speculation surrounding his future after putting pen to paper on a new deal at Dutch Eredivisie giants PSV Eindhoven.
The Daily Mail had reported that the likes of Manchester United, Liverpool and Tottenham Hotspur were keeping tabs on the England youth international of Nigerian descent ahead of a possible move this summer.
Madueke has been rewarded for his fine performances since the season began with a new contract that keeps him at the Eindhoven-based club until the end of the 2024-2025 season.
In nine matches this term, the 19-year-old tallied six goals, including a brace versus Ajax Amsterdam in the Johan Cruijff Schaal, and contributed an assist.
Speaking after the new deal was confirmed, Madueke said to PSV's official website : "I have felt at home at PSV from day one. We are going to make it a great time together in Eindhoven, with wonderful football evenings".
Director of Football Affairs John de Jong was delighted that the Anglo-Nigerian has extended his contract amid interest from foreign clubs.
"There was a lot of interest from foreign clubs in Noni, but we wanted to connect Noni to PSV even longer. After good talks with Noni and his family, he succeeded in extending his contract until 2025.
"We as a club are very happy that Noni will stay and we look forward to a successful collaboration," de Jong said.
Madueke joined the youth team of PSV in the summer of 2018 after stops at Tottenham Hotspur and Crystal Palace.
