Liverpool place N3.5billion price tag on Super Eagles-eligible player
Published: August 26, 2021
Premier League side Liverpool have reportedly placed a price tag on Nigeria-eligible winger Sheyi Ojo.
Goal.com says Liverpool will demand in the region of five million pounds (N3.5billion in Nigerian currency) from clubs interested in the signature of the 2017 U20 World Cup winner with the Young Lions.
Werder Bremen and unnamed clubs in Belgium and Greece have been linked with a possible move for the former MK Dons schoolboy.
Cardiff City, Club Brugge and Olympiakos have also been identified as potential destinations for the 24-year-old.
Ojo is surplus to requirements at Anfield and wasn't involved in the matches played by the first team in pre-season, before he was omitted from the two matchday squads named by manager Jurgen Klopp for the new Premier League season.
The Anglo-Nigerian has struggled to tie down a regular spot in the Reds first team, leading to loan spells at Wigan Athletic, Wolverhampton Wanderers, Fulham, Reims, Glasgow Rangers and Cardiff City.
Ojo,who is contracted to Liverpool until 2023, has been training with Liverpool U23s ahead of a move before the close of the transfer window next week.
