Confirmed : West Ham United recall striker of Nigerian descent from loan spell
West Ham United have recalled promising Irish-born Nigerian striker Mipo Odubeko from his loan spell at Championship outfit Huddersfield Town.

Huddersfield Town informed via their official website on Tuesday that the break clause during the January 2022 transfer window has been activated, and he will now return to London.

The center forward, 19, made six appearances in the Championship - all of them off the bench - during his time with the Terriers, logging 107 minutes in total.

Odubeko joined West Ham United in October 2019 after rejecting a scholarship deal at Manchester United.

Regarded as one of the most promising young strikers in England, he was the standout performer for the Hammers development squad in 2020-2021, scoring 14 goals in 12 academy appearances and won the Premier League 2 Player of the Month award for April.

Odubeko signed a new deal with West Ham United before joining Huddersfield Town on loan in August.

He has made two appearances for the first team of the Hammers in the FA Cup.
