Tottenham Hotspur target move for 17-goal Nigerian striker as potential replacement for Kane
Published: March 19, 2022Tottenham Hotspur have reignited their interest in Victor Osimhen who continues to be linked with a move to the English Premier League.
Radio Kiss Kiss says Tottenham boss Antonio Conte is an admirer of the Nigeria international and the north London club should be included in his list of suitors.
The Naples based radio station has also claimed that Tottenham Hostpur could firm up their interest in Osimhen when the transfer market reopens if Harry Kane is sold.
It has been suggested that Mauricio Pochettino will push for the signing of his former pupil Kane should he be appointed the permanent Manchester United coach in the summer.
Tottenham Hotspur were among the Premier League clubs linked with a move for Osimhen in 2020 but the former Lille man eventually joined Napoli for a club record fee of €70 million plus €10m that is made up of performance-related add-ons.
Despite spending approximately two months on the sidelines this campaign, the 2015 U17 World Cup winner has scored seventeen goals combined for club and country so far this season.
Tottenham Hotspur face competition from Newcastle United who are reportedly willing to meet the valuation of Osimhen after missing out on his signature in January.
