More Super Eagles goalscorers react to historic 10-0 victory over Sao Tome and Principe
Published: June 15, 2022
The Super Eagles demolished Sao Tome and Principe 10-0 in Agadir, Morocco, on matchday two of the 2023 Africa Cup of Nations qualifiers on Monday afternoon.
The win was the highest recorded by the senior national team, erasing a record (10-1 vs Dahomey) that stood for sixty three years.
Oghenekaro Etebo, Victor Osimhen and Emmanuel Dennis who were among the scorers against the Island Nation previously took to social media to react to the victory.
The remaining goalscorers Moses Simon, Ademola Lookman and Terem Moffi have now reacted to the historic win following the team's arrival from Morocco.
Simon, who was captain on the afternoon before the introduction of Ahmed Musa, steered the ball into the net to make it 2-0 in the 28th minute - his seventh goal for the national team.
Former England U20 star Lookman rifled home a rebound for his first international goal in the 63rd minute and Lorient striker Moffi was among the three players on parade to open his international goalscoring account, the other being Dennis.
