'Did a good job' - Super Eagles striker's performance draws praise from Udinese boss
Published: August 22, 2022Manager Andrea Sottil lauded Isaac Success for his performance during Udinese's goalless draw against Salernitana in a Serie A match on Saturday.
The 2013 U17 World Cup winner has been enjoying a new lease of life since transferring to Udinese last summer with a goal involvement of fourteen (4 goals, 10 assists) in twenty-seven appearances across all competitions.
Success has emerged as a key player for the Bianconeri in the new season having started their opening two matches compared to last season where he managed only 11 starts in the topflight from a possible thirty-seven.
Udinese were made to work hard for their point on matchday two as they played a man less for more than 45 minutes after Nehuen Perez was shown a straight red card for a foul in first-half stoppage time.
Speaking to Udinese's official website , Sottil stated : "[Isaac] Success did a good job. There were a few times when he could have done better in the final third but we had lots of chances in the first half.
"We have to keep going. Forwards are always deemed good if they score and not so good if they don't, but they showed tenacity. I'm sure the goals will come. I have quality strikers."
Success, 26, has two years left on his contract with Udinese, whom he initially joined in 2014 before he was loaned out to Granada.
