Opinion : The Falconets player who has most realistic chance of breaking into Super Falcons

There have been calls for the promotion to the Super Falcons of some of the players who impressed for Nigeria at the 2022 FIFA U-20 Women’s World Cup in Costa Rica after the team were beaten in the quarterfinals by Netherlands in the early hours of Monday morning (WAT).

Allnigeriasoccer.com here presents the the player we feel has the most realistic chance of breaking into the Super Falcons' first team.

First of all, All Nigeria Soccer is of the opinion that the following players should be part of the Falcons ahead of the 2023 FIFA Women’s World Cup: Flourish Sabastine, Blessing Demehin, Esther Onyenezide, Rofiat Imuran, Deborah Abiodun and Mercy Idoko.

They showed great quality and deserve to be upgraded to the senior national team.

However despite the criticisms that trailed the Super Falcons' fourth place finish at the 2022 Africa Women’s Cup of Nations in Morocco most of the players are expected to be around when the 2023 FIFA Women’s World Cup.

What the team is beginning to lack though is pace occasioned by the aging of some key players who faced teams with energetic young players in Morocco.

The Super Falcons once had PSG left back Ebere Orji in the team and what a wonderful left back she was for the Falcons.

The Falcons have not had that assured presence at left back since Ngozi Ebere, and Kikelomo Ajayi before her.

At the U-20 World Cup, we saw Rofiat Imuran's displays and it was great to see a player whose defensive play and deliveries from the flank was one of the outlets to hurt the opposition.

Imuran is a good choice to start for the Super Falcons and proved in Costa Rica that she is a better choice to start than Michelle Alozie.

Imuran's defensive awareness and recovery rate down the left channel after her maurading runs are better than Alozie's.

While Imuran makes the first team, the other aforementioned players could find themselves as impact players but could become mainstays after the 2023 FIFA Women’s World Cup when some more players are expected to call it quits with the national team.

All Nigeria Soccer's Super Falcons Predicted Starting Lineup With Imuran On the Left Back Position in a 4-2-3-1 formation.
