Casa Pia's Nigerian winger Saviour Godwin says the club is here to stay in the Portuguese Primeira Liga, after scoring his 2nd goal of the season in their 3-2 away victory over Pacos Ferreira over on Sunday.
A former Nigeria national U23 player, he was voted the Most Valuable Player in the Liga Sabseg for the 2021-2022 campaign
His goals(10 goals) powered the Lisbon based club from the second tier into the top flight and has since picked up from where he left off last season.
Despite losing their second game of the season to Benfica, Casa Pia have since picked up 10 points from four games, beating Boavista 1-0, winning 1-0 in Guimarães, earning a point against Arouca and a 3-2 road win at Pacos Ferreira at the weekend.
Saviour says Casa Pia belongs in the league of big boys and others should take notice.
"I feel very happy to score in today's game and to help my team win is amazing. It has been a good performance from the team since we started the league, you know this is my second goal in the league, I feel very happy.
"Also, I think this club has come from the second division to stay, because since the league started we have been playing so good and you have to be in the top league to get good visibility.
"The team is settling well and I feel very happy about this, " the Jos born player said.
Meanwhile Super Eagles coach, Jose Peseiro is monitoring the performance of the former U17 world cup winner and could be a part of the upcoming Super Eagles games.
