Super Eagles coach Peseiro watches Morocco ahead of quarterfinal clash with Portugal
Published: December 07, 2022
Super Eagles coach Jose Peseiro is at work in Qatar, watching the ongoing World Cup, allnigeriasoccer.com reports.
The Portuguese football tactician has posted pictures on social media confirming that he was in attendance during Morocco's shootout win over Spain in a round of 16 clash at the Education City Stadium, Al Rayyan on Tuesday, December 6.
Peseiro also watched his country register a convincing 6-1 win over Switzerland in the last round of 16 clash last night.
Morocco's reward for earning a win against Spain is a date with another European powerhouse Portugal and the game will be staged at Al Thumama Stadium, Doha on Saturday, December 10.
Pesiero is close pals with Portugal coach Fernando Santos and he's expected to pass on tips on how to beat the Atlas Lions.
The former Porto and Sporting CP manager is knowledgeable about North African football having worked with arguably the best team in Africa, Al Ahly in the past.
Morocco could be a potential opponent for Nigeria at the 2023 Africa Cup of Nations with both countries topping their qualifying groups after two matches.
