Edun targeted by Sheffield Wednesday, Lincoln, MK Dons but Charlton in driving seat
Published: January 10, 2023
Blackburn Rovers star Tayo Edun is attracting interest from several Football League clubs in the January transfer window.
According to Football Insider, Charlton Athletic are in pole position in the battle to sign the former England youth international of Nigerian descent.
Edun can choose his next destination as he's also wanted by other League One clubs Sheffield Wednesday, Lincoln City and MK Dons.
The 24-year-old is experiencing a difficult campaign at Blackburn Rovers having found game time hard to come by, making only one start from a possible 26 in the Championship.
Harry Pickering is ahead of Edun in manager Dahl Tomasson's pecking order of left-backs at Blackburn Rovers.
A move to a London club would appeal to the Anglo-Nigerian considering the fact that he was at Fulham for more than a decade before moving on to pastures new in 2020.
The Addicks have in their ranks Nigeria-eligible trio Chuks Aneke, Mandela Egbo and Deji Elerewe.
