Official : Swansea City loan out Manchester City academy product Ogbeta
Published: January 14, 2023
With a statement on their official website, Championship outfit Swansea City have announced that Manchester City academy product Nathanael Ogbeta has joined Peterborough United on loan for the remainder of the season.
Ogbeta has struggled with injuries since his switch to Swansea City in January 2022, making only three appearances in all competitions.
The England youth international of Nigerian descent has agreed a loan move to Peterborough United in order to get a taste of first team football on a regular basis.
Ogbeta has experienced League One football at Shrewsbury Town, for whom he made 51 appearances in the division, scoring two goals and providing three.
His versatility was key in Peterborough United making a move to land his signature as he's capable of playing as a left-back, left wing-back and left-sided central defender.
Subject to international clearance, Ogbeta will be named in the matchday squad for Posh's League One meeting with Port Vale on Monday, January 16.
Peterborough United sit ninth in the table with 35 points accumulated after twenty four matches.
