Forest Green Rovers crashed out of the Emirates FA Cup following a 2-1 loss to Birmingham City in a rearranged third round fixture staged at The Bolt New Lawn on Tuesday night.
Chelsea loanee Bryan Fiabema appeared in an Emirates FA Cup matchday squad for the third time and later came off the bench to make his debut in the competition.
The Norway U20 international of Nigerian descent was a non-playing substitute against South Shields and Alvechurch FC in the first and second round respectively.
Ben Stevenson gave Forest Green Rovers a perfect start when he opened the scoring in the eighth minute with a brilliant dipping strike.
Three minutes into the second half, the Blues were back on level terms through Lukas Jutkiewicz's low finish and Kevin Long put the Championship side ahead for the first time in the game after a loose ball fell his way in the 65th minute.
Rovers made three changes with twenty minutes left on the clock, one of which saw Fiabema replace Kyle McAllister, but Birmingham City were able to hold on to their lead for the rest of the game.
Fiabema, was recalled from his loan spell at Rosenborg in August before he headed to Forest Green Rovers on a season-long loan in the summer transfer window.
