Former Manchester United and Tottenham Hotspur striker turned BBC pundit, Garth Crooks has selected his Premier League Team of the Week, with Crystal Palace young star Michael Olise making the cut as expected.
Aged 21 years and 118 days on Easter Sunday, the Nigeria Football Federation target became the youngest player in Premier League history to assist three goals from open play in a single game after his hat-trick of assists in Palace's 5-1 rout of Leeds United.
Olise set up the goals scored by Jordan Ayew, Eberechi Eze and Odsonne Edouard in the second half.
Manchester City have three players in the Team of the Week, followed by Arsenal with two, while Liverpool, Wolverhampton Wanderers, Crystal Palace, West Ham United, Tottenham Hotspur and Manchester United have contributed one player each.
In a 3-4-3 formation, Crooks has gone for Aaron Ramsdale in goal and a three-man defence consisting of Trent Alexander-Arnold, Nathan Ake and Kurt Zouma.
Olise has been deployed as the left-sided midfielder and joining him in the middle of the park are Jack Grealish, Scott McTominay and Matheus Nunes, while Gabriel Jesus and Erling Haaland are the two strikers.
Explaining his decision to pick Olise in the Team of the Week, Crooks wrote : "I couldn't possibly have selected a team this week without acknowledging Crystal Palace's 5-1 victory away at Elland Road. The standout player in this impressive display was Michael Olise.
"Leeds had no answer to the player's ability, balance and composure on the ball. "
Olise has directly participated in ten goals (2 goals, 8 assists) in 29 Premier League games this season.
