Transfer guru Ornstein confirms ANS exclusive : Monaco, RB Leipzig interested in Balogun
Published: April 11, 2023
Transfer market guru David Ornstein has an update on the future of Anglo-American-Nigerian center forward Folarin Balogun at Premier League table toppers Arsenal.
Writing in The Athletic UK, Ornstein revealed that Balogun does not want to sign a new deal at Arsenal and is also not interested in another loan move, meaning a permanent departure could be on the cards when the transfer window opens.
Should the England U21 international return to the Emirates Stadium, he is not assured of a place in the starting lineup with Gabriel Jesus and Eddie Nketiah ahead of him in Mikel Arteta's pecking order of center forwards.
Allnigeriasoccer.com exclusively reported twenty seven days ago that Monaco and RB Leipzig are among the clubs keen on the Hale End Academy product.
This website also reported that Bayern Munich, Bayer Leverkusen, Inter Milan, AC Milan, Atalanta, Marseille, Real Sociedad and Villarreal are all keeping tabs on him.
Ornstein has confirmed that RB Leipzig, AC Milan, Inter Milan, Marseille and Monaco are in pursuit of Balogun.
The 21-year-old is open to departing the Gunners on a permanent basis in the summer as he wants to play regular first team football at this stage of his career.
Balogun, who has approximately two years left on his contract at Arsenal, has been in sensational form for Stade de Reims, scoring 19 goals in 31 matches across all competitions this season.
