Terem Moffi's game-winning strike helps OGC Nice make Ligue 1 history
Published: November 26, 2023
Terem Moffi's solitary goal was enough for Nice to get a 1-0 victory over Toulouse on matchday 13 of the Ligue 1 played at the Allianz Riviera on Sunday afternoon.
After the first half ended in a barren draw, Moffi broke the deadlock in the 54th minute when he received a pass from Morgan Sanson before slotting past the goalkeeper superbly.
According to statisticians at OPTA, the Super Eagles forward's strike helped Nice to become the first club not to go behind in any game after 13 games in Ligue 1 history.
The 24-year-old strike also put an end to his seven-game goal drought having failed to score since his brace against PSG in September.
He played for 84 minutes in the encounter, made 21 touches, scored with his only shot on target, completed one dribble, made one key pass and also put in a decent defensive shit for his club, winning one ground duel and aerial duel he contested.
The Nigeria international has now scored 4 goals and registered two assists in 13 games for the Eaglets in the French top flight this season.
The win helps Nice to stay within touching distance of table-toppers PSG having garnered 29 points, one short of the defending champions.
