Official: Super Eagles striker rewarded with new deal by MLS club CF Montreal

With a statement on their official website,Major League Soccer club CF Montreal have announced that one-cap Nigeria international Sunusi Ibrahim has extended his contract.
The striker has signed a new deal for the 2024, 2025 and 2026 seasons, with a club option for the 2027 campaign.
Ibrahim has been rewarded with a new contract on the back of his impressive performances over the course of the 2023 regular season.
In 29 appearances across all competitions in the recently concluded season including fourteen starts, the U22 initiative registered ten goal involvements (6 goals, 4 assists).
The Keffi native joined CF Montreal in January 2021 and helped the club win the Canadian Championship in his first season.
Overall, in his three seasons with the Canadian club, he has logged over 2,300 minutes, totaled thirteen goals and provided five assists.
Ibrahim was in the Super Eagles team composed mainly of home-based players that got beaten by Mexico in an international friendly in July 2021.
The center forward was a member of the Olympic Eagles squad to the 2019 Africa U23 Cup of Nations, where he made two starts during the tournament in Egypt.
