Scoring spree: Watch all four goals scored by Arsenal U18 striker Obi-Martin against Crystal Palace
Published: March 17, 2024Arsenal teenage striker of Nigerian descent Chido Obi-Martin was in scintillating form when the U18s beat Crystal Palace 8-3 at Sobha Realty Training Centre on Saturday afternoon, scoring four goals in the 11-goal thriller.
The talented forward bagged his first in the 18th minute, tapping in Michal Rosiak's pass into the net to give Arsenal a three-goal lead.
His second came in the 39th minute demonstrating his ability to strike the ball from long distance by curling the ball brilliantly into the bottom corner from outside the penalty area.
In another laudable fashion, the 16-year-old stepped up and showed his calmness to dispatch a penalty in the 51st minute to complete his hat trick.
The Danish-Nigerian forward not done scoring, produced a precise finish to put the ball past the goalkeeper, one minute before the stoppage time.
Just in one-game, the Flying Eagles-eligible striker proved his efficiency in front of the goal with four distinct finishes.
Yesterday was his second time scoring at least three goals in a game in the U18 Premier League as he bagged a hat-trick against Southampton earlier in the season.
He has eight goals in 10 league games this season for Jack Wilshere's side, averaging almost a goal per game
