Following the conclusion of the 2023-2024 season, League One club Bolton Wanderers have announced their retained and released list .
Bolton Wanderers narrowly missed out on promotion to the EFL Championship, losing 2-0 to Oxford United in the League One playoffs final four days ago.
The Trotters have informed that Manchester City youth product Nathanael Ogbeta has returned to his parent club Swansea City following the end of his loan spell.
The versatile defender appeared in seventeen matches during his time at the Toughsheet Community Stadium, registering two goals and four assists.
In reality, Ogbeta is now unemployed as Swansea Ciy have confirmed that he will leave the club this summer upon the expiry of his contract on June 30, 2024.
Born in Salford, England twenty-three years ago, the former England U20 international is also eligible to represent the Super Eagles through his father and Jamaica's Reggae Boyz through his mother.
Ogbeta was on the books of Manchester City for ten years and wore the colours of Shrewsbury Town before joining Swansea City in January 2022.
He was loaned out to Peterborough United for the second half of the 2022-2023 campaign and moved to Bolton on a temporary basis in the January transfer window in search of first team football.
Ibadan-born striker Victor Adeboyejo is among the players retained by Bolton Wanderers for the 2024-2025 season.
