Chelsea identify former Super Eagles invitee as primary transfer target this summer
Published: June 04, 2024
According to GIVEMESPORT, Chelsea have made 2021 Super Eagles invitee Michael Olise a priority transfer target for this summer.
The Blues have identified the need to strengthen their attack yet again after a disappointing season where they could only pick a Conference League spot, no thanks to Manchester United's FA Cup triumph.
Thus, the club have decided to bring in a wide forward and a striker with Olise and Benjamin Šeško being their priority targets for both positions.
The 22-year-old fits the profile of a young and exciting talent that Chelsea have become known for signing and the London-based club will now have to convince the forward to move to Stamford Bridge.
They almost came close to signing him last summer but he opted to extend his stay at the Selhurst Park by signing a contract with a release clause which is reportedly around €60m.
The France U21 international enjoyed another stellar season with Crystal Palace despite struggling with his fitness and is set to be a subject of transfer tussle for the second consecutive summer transfer window.
The Blues face a strong challenge with Manchester United for the signature of the French-Nigerian forward with the latter also putting him on top of their target list for this transfer window.
