Official: Lagos-born winger Onyedinma, 2024 Super Eagles invitee Osho released by Luton Town
Published: June 05, 2024
Luton Town have submitted their retained and released list to the Premier League following the conclusion of the 2023-2024 season.
The official website of the Premier League has confirmed that Lagos-born winger Fred Onyedinma and 2024 Super Eagles invitee Gabriel Osho will be leaving the Hatters upon the expiry of their contracts on June 30, 2024.
Millwall academy graduate Onyedinma joined Luton Town from Wycombe Wanderers in the summer of 2021.
The 27-year-old scored three goals and provided seven assists in 60 appearances across all competitions, including eight matches in the Premier League.
Onyedinma spent the first half of the 2023-2024 campaign on loan at Rotherham United, where he made eighteen appearances and scored two goals.
Former Reading youth team captain Osho arrived at Kenilworth Road in November 2020 and was a key member of the squad that sealed promotion to the Premier League via the Championship playoffs in May 2023.
He made an impression in his debut season in the English top-flight, netting two goals in twenty-one matches, all of which he started.
Osho was loaned out to Yeovil Town and Rochdale in the 2020-2021 season to get a taste of first team football.
Zack Nelson, Elijah Adebayo and Aribusitamunoipirim Pepple still have valid contracts with the Hatters and have been retained for the 2024-2025 season.
