Man Utd's youngest ever player in European competition Shoretire expected in Thessaloniki on Monday night
Published: July 29, 2024
England youth international of Nigerian descent Shola Shoretire is edging closer to completing his move to Greek champions PAOK.
The attacking midfielder has departed Manchester United as the club's youngest player to play in a European match having made his debut in the Europa League against Real Sociedad in February 2021.
According to Gazzetta Greece, Shoretire is expected to be in Thessaloniki on Monday night , July 29, 2024 in order to complete his transfer to PAOK.
His arrival was first planned for Tuesday, July 30, but it has been rescheduled to 2200 hours on Monday.
Ahead of his trip to Thessaloniki, he has already agreed personal terms with the White-Blacks and the transfer will be completed after his arrival in Greece.
The Manchester United academy graduate turned down a new contract at the Red Devils, and has been maintaining his fitness by training on his own.
Shoretire is eager to complete his transfer to PAOK as soon as possible so that he could join the training sessions of his new team.
The 20-year-old is embarking on a new chapter in his career due to limited first team opportunities at Manchester United, having played in only five official matches.
He previously made history in Europe by becoming the youngest-ever player to appear in the UEFA Youth League.
