Crystal Palace loan out 2019 Golden Eaglets invitee Ebiowei to newly promoted Championship club
Published: August 02, 2024
Through a statement on their official website, Crystal Palace have announced that 2019 Golden Eaglets invitee Malcolm Ebiowei has been loaned out to newly promoted Championship club Oxford United.
Ebiowei will spend the 2024-2025 season on loan at Oxford United in search of regular game time.
The talented winger spent the latter half of last season with Belgian Pro League side RWD Molenbeek, where he made five appearances and provided an assist.
He played in twelve matches during a loan spell at Hull City in the second half of the 2022-2023 season.
Ebiowei has struggled for playing opportunities since landing at the Eagles with only five games played and he was in action for 57 minutes.
Before signing for Crystal Palace in 2022, he played for the academy teams of Chelsea, Arsenal, Rangers and Derby County.
The 20-year-old has played in the Championship before, making twenty-eight appearances combined for Derby County and Hull City, and has one goal and two assists to his name.
He is in contention to make his 29th appearance in the division in Oxford United's opening game of the season against Norwich City next weekend.
Ebiowei, who is also eligible to turn out for England and Netherlands, was named in the Golden Eaglets squad for the 2019 Fifa U17 World Cup.
