'Works tirelessly' - Ex-Spurs midfielder reveals Nottingham Forest fans adore Awoniyi's work ethic
Published: April 02, 2025
Nottingham Forest striker Taiwo Awoniyi has earned admiration for his relentless work ethic, with former Tottenham Hotspur midfielder Andy Reid praising the Nigerian forward's commitment on the pitch.
Speaking on BBC Radio 5 Live, Reid emphasized how much Forest supporters value Awoniyi's tireless efforts.
"Taiwo Awoniyi works tirelessly. You can see how much he is appreciated by these Forest fans," Reid said, highlighting the forward's determination and perseverance in every match.
His non-stop work rate has made him a fan favorite at the City Ground, where his dedication has not gone unnoticed.
Awoniyi’s style of play, characterized by his physicality, pressing, and constant movement, aligns perfectly with Forest's high-energy attacking tactics.
Despite facing stiff competition for a starting spot in the team, his relentless pursuit of the ball and never-give-up attitude have earned him respect from both teammates and supporters.
His ability to constantly chase down defenders and harass opposition goalkeepers is a key asset, contributing to Forest’s attacking momentum.
In addition to his industrious play, Awoniyi’s growing understanding with his teammates and knack for getting into goal-scoring positions has further endeared him to the Nottingham Forest faithful.
The Nigeria international has started the last two games contested by Nottingham Forest as cover for the injured Chris Wood.
