Confirmed: Okwumo will sign a new Norwich City contract, decisions made on three other Nigerians
Published: May 13, 2025
Following the completion of the 2024-2025 season, Norwich City have published the retained and released list, including decisions made on four Nigeria-eligible players.
The Canaries have informed that Harmony Okwumo will sign a contract extension with the club.
Predominantly a right-back, Okwumo joined Norwich City last summer after his release by Charlton Athletic.
He notched three assists in 16 Premier League 2 matches over the course of the 2024-2025 season, and also featured in the Premier League Cup.
Former Manchester City schoolboy Daniel Ogwuru is one of the players released by Norwich City and he's leaving Carrow Road with zero appearances for the first team.
The forward spent a portion of the season at Vanarama National League North side Buxton on a youth loan, scoring his first senior goal in a 3-1 win versus Brackley back in March.
Meanwhile, prolific striker at youth level, Ken Aboh has returned to Norwich following the conclusion of his loan spell at Colchester United, where he made two appearances off the bench in the fourth tier of English football.
Emmanuel Adegboyega, a Republic of Ireland U21 international, will remain at Dundee United until the end of the 2024-2025 Scottish Premiership season.
So far this season, the highly-rated central defender has scored 3 goals in 34 matches for Dundee United.
