Nigeria’s Super Eagles secured a 2-1 win over Ghana in the 2025 Unity Cup at the Gtech Community Stadium, and several players stood out in a balanced team display.

The starters
Goalkeeper
Stanley Nwabali: Made a crucial late save to deny Abu Francis and commanded his area well. Could do little about Ghana’s goal and showed composure under pressure.7.5/10
Defenders
Ismaila Sodiq: Energetic on the right flank, linked up well going forward but picked up a yellow card. Defensively solid for most of the game. 7/10
Semi Ajayi: A calm presence at the back but looked fatigued in the second half before being subbed off in the 82nd minute.6/10
Igoh Ogbu : Physical and alert in the air, made key interceptions. Booked late in the first half but maintained focus.6.5/10
