After rejection by Man Utd captain, Al Hilal identify Osimhen as top target ahead of Club World Cup

Saudi Arabian giants Al Hilal have identified Nigerian striker Victor Osimhen as their top transfer target ahead of the FIFA Club World Cup, following the rejection of their offer by Manchester United captain Bruno Fernandes.
Osimhen, currently on loan at Galatasaray from Napoli, enjoyed a stellar campaign in Turkey, helping the Yellow-Reds secure a domestic double with a string of record-breaking performances.
His standout season in the Super Lig has only intensified speculation over his future, with several top clubs reportedly monitoring his situation.
Transfer expert Jacobs Ben revealed that Al Hilal representatives are currently in Paris, engaged in talks over a potential deal for the Nigerian international, as the club looks to bolster its squad before the tournament kicks off in June.
Al Hilal had initially pursued Portuguese midfielder Bruno Fernandes in hopes of adding experience and creativity to their midfield.
However, the Manchester United skipper is said to have turned down the offer in favour of continuing his career in the Premier League.
With Fernandes out of the picture, the Saudi Pro League champions have swiftly shifted their focus to Osimhen, viewing him as a marquee signing capable of leading their attack at the global stage.
Al Hilal are preparing for life without Aleksandar Mitrović, the former Fulham striker who could be on his way out.
The club believes Osimhen's arrival would significantly strengthen their offensive options and boost their chances against top opposition, including Real Madrid, whom they are set to face in their first game of the tournament.
With the Club World Cup just days away, Al Hilal will hope to convince Osimhen to make the move to Saudi Arabia, despite keen interest from elite European clubs.
