Super Eagles invitees Obaje, Hadi, Mohammed speak on fitness, Eric Chelle's philosophy and CHAN

The Super Eagles B team is brimming with confidence and determination as preparations intensify for the upcoming African Nations Championship (CHAN) under head coach Erich Chelle.

The camp, held at the Remo Stars Sports Institute, Ikenne-Remo, Ogun State, marks the start of an intensive preparation phase for the tournament, which features players from domestic leagues across Africa.

Following a spirited training session, three players—Godwin Obaje of Rangers International, Haruna Hadi of Remo Stars, and Kabiru Mohammed of Kwara United—shared their optimism and praised the positive impact of Chelle’s coaching philosophy.

Haruna Hadi, a dynamic midfielder, spoke passionately about his commitment and ambition.

"I know what I can give, and I’m not scared of anything," Haidi said in an interview with the Super Eagles media team, as relayed allnigeriasoccer.com

"I’m focused and ready to give my all for the team. Playing for the Super Eagles has always been my dream, and participating in CHAN is a stepping stone to the next level."

His words reflect the self-belief Chelle has inspired among the players, as well as their collective hunger to perform on a continental stage.

Godwin Obaje, a forward known for his sharp instincts in front of goal, highlighted the strong sense of camaraderie among the squad.

"All of us are like brothers. We know each other from different clubs, so meeting here feels normal, and we’re very happy together," Obaje stated.

He expressed excitement about representing Nigeria, adding, "As players representing the biggest country in Africa, we’re preparing very well.

"The training sessions are aggressive, and I love it. I’m very fit and ready to give my best."

His remarks emphasize a shared confidence and the tight-knit spirit driving the team forward.

Kabiru Mohammed, whose versatility is an asset for Kwara United, praised Coach Chelle’s tactical approach.

"He has a good philosophy, and his game model is high-intensity. He likes aggressive players who are good on the ball and without the ball you have to press hard to win it back, so you could play as a team. It was a very good session with him."

Nigeria, runners-up in the 2018 edition, have been placed in Group D of the 19-team tournament, alongside defending champions Senegal, as well as Sudan and Congo.
