Done deal: Lillestrom out Flying Eagles striker Kparobo Arierhi to Mjondalen

Lillestrom have announced that Nigeria U20 international Kparobo Arierhi has joined Mjøndalen on loan, the Norwegian First Division club has reported on its official website

The agreement will keep the Flying Eagles striker at Mjøndalen for the remainder of the 2025 Norwegian season.

One of Nigeria's most promising talents, Arierhi has made two appearances off the bench since his arrival at LSK from Beyond Limits.

With Lillestrom keen for Arierhi to gain more first team experience and following Mjøndalen's sale of their leading striker to an Eliteserien club, the decision has been made to send the Nigerian out on loan to the Norwegian First Division side.

Arierhi was named in Nigeria's squad for the U20 Africa Cup of Nations in May 2025, playing a key role in the Flying Eagles' bronze medal finish.

The young forward started four of the team's six matches, finding the net once during the tournament in Egypt.

He now faces a crucial autumn campaign, pivotal not only for his personal development but also as he eyes a potential place in Nigeria's squad for the U20 World Cup later in September.

Lillestrom were only able to complete Arierhi's loan move during the summer transfer window due to regulations governing international players.

Under Norwegian rules, non-EU players cannot be loaned out using the national loan scheme outside the country’s official transfer periods.

The 18-year-old Arierhi netted twice on his competitive debut for Lillestrom's reserve team in a 4-1 rout of Nordstrand IF back in April.
