Watford confirm professional deal for Nigerian forward ahead of 2025-26 season
Published: July 23, 2025
Through a statement on the official website, Championship club Watford have confirmed that promising forward of Nigerian descent Kash Odiase has signed a professional contract ahead of the 2025-2026 campaign.
Twelve academy players have put pen to paper on new deals, including Odiase, Hayden Barrett, Marats Galajevs, Tom Georgiou, Conrad Hunt, Sam Morris, Jonathan Lawson, Amar Sanghrajka, Kristian Shevchenko, Max Smith, Ollie Stephenson and Raul Vancea.
The twelve players were all offered their deals at the end of the 2024-2025 season.
Odiase has signed a two-year deal with the Hornets, with a club option for the 2027-2028 campaign.
He has been described as a strong, powerful and quick striker who is also capable of occupying a role out wide.
The versatile attacker was a key member of the Watford side that reached the semifinals of the FA Youth Cup last season, scoring in back-to-back wins against Oxford United and Crewe Alexandra.
Odiase joined Watford in January 2023 and went on to sign a scholarship agreement later that summer, which officially expired on June 30, 2025.
The 19-year-old is a fan of Manchester City legend Kevin De Bruyne, and dreams to play at Wembley.
