Flying Eagles midfielder agrees two-year deal with AC Milan ahead of new season
Published: July 31, 2025
Nigeria U20 international Victor Eletu has agreed a contract extension with AC Milan ahead of the new season, securing his future at the San Siro until at least 2027.
The deal includes a two-year extension with an option for a third year, following the expiration of his previous contract on June 30.
The 20-year-old has seen his development hampered by a string of injuries in recent seasons, but remains a highly rated prospect within the Milan setup.
The club's decision to integrate him into Massimo Oddo's Milan Futuro project — the U23 team competing in Serie D — played a significant role in Eletu's decision to stay.
Italian transfer expert Gianluca Di Marzio reported that Milan see Eletu as a key piece in their long-term plans, and view the Futuro team as an ideal environment for the midfielder to rebuild fitness and consistency.
Eletu was a standout performer for Milan's Primavera side before injuries curtailed his momentum.
He will now look to rediscover that form as he joins the U23 squad for pre-season preparations.
With a fresh start and a clear development path laid out, the Flying Eagles midfielder will hope to put his injury woes behind him and reestablish himself as one of Milan's most promising young midfielders in the upcoming campaign.
Eletu has been named in three matchday squads for official matches, including two in the Europa League and one in the Serie A, but has yet to make his senior debut for the Rossoneri.
