'So talented' – Osayi-Samuel says Arsenal target Eze is good enough to play for a PL-winning team

Birmingham City fullback Bright Osayi-Samuel has heaped praise on Crystal Palace star Eberechi Eze, claiming the England international is good enough to play for a Premier League title-winning side.

Eze, who has been heavily linked with a summer move to Arsenal, continues to attract interest following a string of standout seasons at Selhurst Park.

The creative midfielder has become a key figure for Palace and recently lifted the FA Cup with the club — a historic first.

Speaking in an interview with The Sun UK, Osayi-Samuel, a former teammate of Eze's at Queens Park Rangers, said he always knew the attacking midfielder was destined for the top.

"From the minute I played with Eze more at QPR I knew he'd go far. And I still believe he's going even further because, for me, he's in the top three players I've ever played with," said the Nigerian international.

"He's so talented. You can see it in games but when you see his ability consistently in training, what he's done to a lot of players, it's frightening."

Eze has also earned several caps for the England national team, and Osayi-Samuel believes the time is right for the playmaker to step up to one of Europe's elite clubs.

"Eberechi has won the FA Cup for Crystal Palace and got England caps — but he's good enough to be in a team that can win the Premier League and play in Europe week in, week out," he added.

Osayi-Samuel also voiced concern about Eberechi Eze's age, noting that top clubs increasingly prioritize signing younger players when planning for the future.

"I can see that he's getting better but I feel it's difficult because of his age. We're both getting older now and teams generally look for younger players."

Despite his concerns, the Nigerian international urged that the England star be given a chance, insisting that Eze has the quality to be a difference-maker at the highest level.

"But he's so fit and just needs that opportunity. The minute he gets it, he'll surprise a lot of people. He can be a matchwinner for one of the top clubs."

As transfer speculation continues to swirl around Eze, Osayi-Samuel is preparing for his own return to English football after joining Birmingham City from Turkish giants Fenerbahce.

The 27-year-old is determined to play a key role in helping the Blues achieve their goal this season and secure promotion to the Premier League.

"Hopefully I can join him in the Premier League, that's the plan," he concluded.

Ahead of their Championship opener against Ipswich, Osayi-Samuel will be aiming to start the season on a winning note and strengthen Birmingham's push for a return to top-flight English football.
