Wilfred Ndidi has arrived in Istanbul to finalise his proposed move to Turkish giants Beşiktaş, the club confirmed on Thursday morning via their official X account.
The Black Eagles shared photos of the Leicester City midfielder clad in Beşiktaş colours, signaling that the deal is in its final stages.
Ndidi, a product of the Nath Boys Academy in Lagos, is expected to undergo a medical before putting pen to paper.
The Nigerian international has been a key figure at Leicester City since joining from Genk in 2017.
Over the course of eight seasons, he made more than 300 appearances for the Foxes and developed a reputation as one of the Premier League’s most dependable defensive midfielders.
In the 2024–25 season, the Nigerian featured in 30 matches, scoring once and providing five assists.
Despite his consistent performances, Leicester’s relegation to the Championship prompted Ndidi to seek a new challenge in a more competitive environment.
Beşiktaş have been active in the transfer market as they rebuild under the leadership of newly appointed manager Ole Gunnar Solskjær.
The former Manchester United boss is believed to have held a long-standing interest in Ndidi and sees him as a direct replacement for Gedson Fernandes, who recently transferred to Spartak Moscow.
The proposed deal is expected to span three years with an option for a fourth.
Negotiations over personal terms are nearing completion, and Ndidi’s medical will be a key step toward finalizing the transfer.
