From Man Utd product to Flying Eagles captain: Nigerians that changed clubs during the break

Several transfers involving Nigerian players slipped under the radar during the international break as attention was firmly fixed on the Super Eagles' 2026 World Cup qualifying matches against Rwanda and South Africa.

Manchester United academy graduate Tosin Kehinde has joined Turkish 1. Lig club Bandirmaspor on a free transfer after mutually terminating his contract with Ferencvaros last month.

The former Nigeria U23 invitee has also worn the colours of  CD Feirense (Portugal) and Randers (Denmark) in the past.

Ex-Super Eagles B forward Kingsley Eduwo has also joined a new team after mutually terminating his contract with 
Algerian Ligue 1 club Entente de Sétif.

Egyptian Premier League club Al Masry SC have confirmed the signing of Eduwo on a two-season deal. 

Francis Momoh has made a return to Swiss football, having spent last season in Ukraine with LNZ Cherkasy.

The former Grasshoppers man has been acquired by Winterthur, subject to Swiss Super League approval.

A product of Heartland, he has been tipped to succeed Christian Gomis, who moved to Schalke 04 in the 2. Bundesliga a week ago.

Chibuike Ohizu has completed a move to South African Premiership side Siwelele FC, following spells with Leruma United, Jomo Cosmos and Sekhukhune United.

Nigeria U20 captain Daniel Bameyi has signed for Slovenian outfit ND Primorje Ajdovscina.

The 19-year-old defender will link up with the Red-Blacks in mid-October after concluding his international duties at the 2025 Fifa U20 World Cup in Chile.

Samuel Isife is set to join Slavia Prague in the winter transfer window, having signed a long-term deal with the Czech champions.

The 21-year-old right wingback will spend the autumn part of the season on loan at Dukla Prague before linking up with Slavia. 

Isife has committed his future to Slavia Prague until 31 December 2029.

Promising left-back Babatunde Akomodele has joined RSC Anderlecht from Broad City Football Academy.

The 18-year-old put pen to paper on a three-year deal with the Belgian giants.
