Chelsea travelling squad: Tosin and George in contention to face Bayern Munich
Published: September 16, 2025
Chelsea have confirmed their travelling squad for Wednesday's UEFA Champions League showdown against Bayern Munich, with two Nigerian players named in the group.
Blues boss Enzo Maresca has called up central defender Tosin Adarabioyo and winger Tyrique George among the twenty-three players who landed in Munich on Tuesday.
Should George feature against the Bundesliga champions, it would mark his debut in the competition.
The England youth international is still awaiting his first start of the season, having made two substitute appearances in the Premier League.
He has recently been reintegrated into the first-team set-up following a collapsed deadline-day move to Fulham.
Tosin is no stranger to the Champions League, with the former Manchester City defender making three appearances in the tournament during his time at the Etihad, lining up against Celtic, Shakhtar Donetsk and FC Basel.
The Nigeria Football Federation target has also been ever-present in Chelsea’s last three Premier League matches, strengthening his case for a starting role in Munich.
Academy prospects Richard Olise, Landon Emenalo, Chizaram Ezenwata and Tayo Subuloye have not been included in the travelling party.
All four remain eligible to be registered on Chelsea'S List B, having been with the club for at least two years.
Chelsea's Champions League league-phase opener against Bayern Munich is scheduled for an 8pm kick-off Nigerian time on Wednesday, September 17.
