Nigeria's Flying Eagles rounded off their FIFA U20 World Cup preparations on a high with a commanding 3-1 victory over Australia in a friendly match played at the Complejo Deportivo Ruca Mapu in Santiago, Chile.
Goals from Tahir Maigana, Orseer Achihi, and Charles Agada sealed the win for Aliyu Zubairu's men, boosting their confidence ahead of the global showpiece.
After a balanced start, Maigana broke the deadlock for the Flying Eagles, while Achihi Oseer netted Nigeria's second before the end of the half.
Meanwhile, Australia pulled one back before the break, ensuring an entertaining opening 45 minutes ended 2-1 in Nigeria's favour.
The Flying Eagles resumed the second half with renewed determination, dominating possession and creating several chances.
Their persistence paid off six minutes from time when Charles Agada powered home Nigeria's third to put the result beyond doubt.
