'No goalkeeper is stopping that' – Ex-Celtic star hails Chelsea forward George for brilliant goal

Former Celtic striker Chris Sutton has lavished praise on youngster Tyroque George after his stunning goal helped the Blues secure a 2-1 comeback victory over Lincoln City in the Carabao Cup.

The 19-year-old brought Chelsea level early in the second half, firing home a volley in the 48th minute after Robert Street had put the hosts ahead shortly before the break.

Speaking on BBC Radio 5 Live at Sincil Bank, Sutton described George’s strike as unstoppable.

"This is some finish, some strike from George. The ball just sits and he lashes it on the half volley, right footed and it hammers off the post," he said.

"Jeacok had absolutely no chance. No goalkeeper in the world is stopping that. Out of nothing, Chelsea are level."

George continued to shine, turning provider minutes later by setting up Shumaira Mheuka for Chelsea’s second goal following a neat exchange of passes.

With Chelsea edging closer to victory, Enzo Maresca substituted George in the 70th minute, introducing academy youngster Shim Mheuka in his place.

The teenage forward, who was close to leaving Stamford Bridge in the summer in search of regular playing time, will be hoping his impressive display earns him more opportunities in the first-team setup.
