Published: August 31, 2012
Nigeria international Efe Ambrose has undergone a traditional medical at Glasgow Celtic and signed a contract with the Scottish giants informs Israel's authoritative football website one.co.il.
The deal was brokered by reputable Israeli agent Dudu Dahan who manages the former Kaduna United star.
Ambrose, a sliver medalist with the Nigeria Under 23's at Beijing 2008 Olympic Games, had attracted interest from English champions Manchester City in the winter market, but the deal did not materialize after the utility player failed to get a work permit.
In recent times, Ambrose has established himself in the Nigeria set up, first under Samson Samsia, and now under the tutelage of former New Nigerian Bank libero Stephen Keshi.
The 23- year-old suited 67 times for MS Ashdod in the Israeli championship, scoring three goals.
