Official: Mainz Flop ANTHONY UJAH Goes To Cologne On Loan
Published: August 31, 2012
Mainz flop Anthony Ujah will play for Bundesliga 2 club Cologne on loan until the end of the 2012 - 2013 season.
The Olympic National Team forward failed to justify his wonder - kid tag and struggled to settle in Germany following his big money move from modest Norwegian club Lillestrom last summer.
Cologne's transfer manager Jörg Jacob has confirmed the arrival of the former Warri Wolf to the RheinEnergieStadion.
He was quoted as saying by express.de : ''We look forward to further strengthening the offensive. Anthony fits perfectly into the desired profile of a central attacker. He especially enjoys mobility and a good finishing and can be a valuable weapon for the attack of the FC Köln.''
Ujah netted twice in 12 appearances for Mainz, a far cry from his 32 hits in 42 official matches for Lillestrom.
