Super Eagles defender Sam Sodje has confirmed that he is on his way to English League One clubside Portsmouth. He has agreed terms to join the seaside club any time soon.

"My brother, I am back and fit as fiddle. I give God all the glory and thank him for his divine grace and favour in my life and career. As we speak now, I am on the verge of joining Pompey and we are just dotting the i's and crossing the t's. I am looking forward to great things with a club as rich in history as Pompey," added the evr smiling Super Sam.
"Even if a deal is not announced before the end of January, it can still be announced any time after that because I am a free agent and so the transfer window and its restrictions do not affect me," stated the hard as nails goalscoring defender.
Sodje aslo wished the Super Eagles luck at AFCON 2013, tipping them to carry the cup in South Africa.
"In Stephen Keshi Nigeria has possibly the best coach around because he had loads of experience in the Nations Cup as a player and has alot of international experience too as a manager. He has picked a crack squad and given opportunities to hitherto unknown players. This is a good sign that he has gone for talent not names. I am sure he and the boys will do Nigeria proud at the AFCON and possibly even lift the cup," he concluded.
