Published: February 07, 2013
22-year-old Chelsea winger Victor Moses could not complete the semi-final tie against Mali after badly spraining his ankle.
On Thursday, Moses was seen limping at the Durban Airport just before the Eagles boarded the plane to Johannesburg, venue of the final match.
Nigeria gaffer Stephen Keshi is optimistic that Moses will play a part against the Stallions of Burkina Faso. The youngster will undergo a scan later on Thursday to determine the extent of damage and his recovery period.
Moses has been one of the Eagles standout players at the ongoing African Cup of Nations. He has scored 2 goals in the competition, from the spot against Ethiopia in the last group game.
